About Me
I'm Elizabeth Beier, an acrylic painter based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My landscape art features smooth, undulating lines and mystical undertones.
In 2023, I moved to New Mexico from California while grieving the loss of my father. I was also taking a leap of faith for love, moving with a relatively new romantic partner (now my husband and excellent frame-maker, Chris Hughes.) As I navigated these emotions, I embarked on a Pagan spiritual quest to spend time in Nature and honor its cycles. I explore New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado with Chris, sleeping under the stars, quietly watching wildlife, and hiking to stunning lookouts. I'm drawn to cyclical themes like the seasons, the four elements, plant growth and decay, different times of day, and the Sun and Moon rising and setting. Nothing is static in the world, and I hope that the fluidity of my painting style and light abstraction in my landscapes imbues them with a sense of beautiful impermanence. Like generations of artists who have been drawn to the Land of Enchantment, I am grateful for the healing I found in New Mexico.
As a proud New Mexico True Certified artist, I make my artwork here and create my prints, cards, and other printed materials locally in Albuquerque. I’m a member of Corrales Bosque Art Gallery and the North Valley Studio Tour, and select paintings are available at Electra Gallery.
My adventures throughout the Southwest inspired my flagship product, the Elements of the Southwest Oracle Cards. Each of the 48 cards features one of my paintings, connecting the visual beauty of the Southwest with its elemental energies. The deck invites users to find divination and reflection grounded in specific landmarks, plants, skyscapes, and more beautiful views I witnessed here.
