Farolitos: Original Painting, 16"x20"
Elements: Fire
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Farolitos, or “little lanterns”, are a beautiful New Mexico winter tradition. They are formed by filling a brown paper bag partway with sand and placing a candle inside. They line paths to celebrate holidays. They bring a sense of warmth and joy to the coldest part of the year.
